1 Star Rated Not Rated The only reason I gave Salish Sea Charters one star is that zero was not an option. TOTALLY unprofessional. We had a group of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids) set up for a charter before our Alaskan cruise. We made the reservation (with Sam - short for Samantha maybe?) about 6 weeks before our trip, and confirmed (with Tom) two days before we left for Seattle. Printed out instructions to be at Pier 66 at 9:45 for a 10:00 departure. Showed up at 9:35 with 4 very excited kids. No boat. No captain. No nothing. Spoke to a very nice lady in the pier office, who told us the pier refused to renew their lease because they had so many problems with Salish Sea Charters. Called Tom, who said they were now at another pier, but had no boat for us, as the head was being repaired. They had two cell numbers for us, but didn't even care enough to call to let us know, or for us to make other arrangements. We had 4 very sad kids, including my 7 year old, who wanted to see whales more than anything else on our whole trip. To say Salish Sea Charters ruined our vacation would be a little overly dramatic, but they came close. We ended up going to the Seattle Space Needle and taking a duck boat ride - VERY FUN! But no whales : ( Tom - if you're reading this, you should be ashamed. You really screwed us on this, and I predict a short life for your company if you treat many others this way.
