1 Star Rated Not Rated What's up with the Meyerson? The Meyerson is a fantastic building and state of the art venue, yet in the 10 years I've lived in Dallas, there has not been a single season for which the scheduled performances inspired me to buy season tickets. Indeed, I often forget the Myerson exists and miss local artists I might have gone to see because well known artists seem to always be playing elsewhere. Perhaps I'm spoiled by the headline performers who were regularly booked in College Station (believe it or not.) I would think that the Meyerson can better afford to book performances than OPAS at Texas A&M, but that appears to not be the case. Despite being older and, in principle, less attractive in terms of acoustics, Bass Hall in Ft. Worth (which is long drive for me), manages to do better in terms of attracting performers than the Meyerson. Get with the program, Dallas.
